CISAC & CIAGP Artists
Rights Society is a member of the International Confederation of
Societies
of Authors and Composers, also known by its French acronym,
CISAC. CISAC, founded in 1926, is a non-profit organization, headquartered
in Paris.
CISAC’s
primary mission is to increase recognition and protection of creator’s
rights. It oversees the activities of 203 author’s societies
in 105 countries, which collectively represent over two million
creators. These societies and their members
cover many artistic disciplines falling within the broad categories
of music, literary and dramatic arts, and the visual arts. The
branch of CISAC’s operations which overseas ARS and its
sister visual arts societies is known as CIAGP. For more information
