In
order for ARS to process your request, please supply us with the
following, where applicable:
-
Title of the work and artist's name
- Number
of copies to be printed or produced
- Territorial
distribution of product
- Language(s)?
- Color
or black and white?
- Size
of reproduction (i.e. ¼ page, ½ page, ¾ page,
full page, etc…)
- Placement
of the image in the context of the publication (i.e. interior,
cover, chapter opener, frontispiece, etc…)
- Related
website (ARS cannot grant unlimited online rights. Please specify
the length of time the image will appear online: 3 months, 6 months,
1 year, etc.)
- Billing
name and address
- Other
pertinent information
Upon
approval, ARS will grant permission in writing to reproduce the
work. Our Invoice/Authorization will outline the terms of the permission
and any applicable fees, as well as provide a copyright credit line
which must accompany the image.
Please
allow sufficient lead time for the rights clearance process. In
many instances permission can be cleared almost immediately. However,
the more complex the project the more time may be required, perhaps
extending to several weeks.
